I'm glad it's Tuesday. I'm so very glad Dakota's surgery went well and is on it's way to being over. I would never make it as a real nurse in a real hospital in real situations. I was a nervous shaking wreck Friday on the way home from the surgeons office. Dakota was very out of it and saying crazy things and telling me he thought he was going to puke in the car. NOOOO!! I don't do puke! His pupils wouldn't stay still and he said there were three of me so of course that scared me. After the gas they gave him wore off he was much better but I didn't sleep a wink that night. And yes, I made my 15 year old son sleep in bed with me so I could watch his every move. I told him he is never allowed to have any more surgeries of any kind. So I've been playing nurse and waiting on him hand and foot since Friday afternoon. He's back at school today, against his wishes of course, but I am taking a breath and being so very thankful that it's behind us. He did have a small complication...his top wisdom teeth were very close to his sinuses so they had to put a stitch in his sinus membranes so he's not allowed to sneeze or blow his nose for two weeks. Another scare!! I'm just a weenie I think.
He was super sweet to me all weekend though and last night said the sweetest thank you for taking care of him and all I do for him. I'm a lucky one!
Kelly Clarkson is having the girl she wanted. Yay! And I got to see the 4D ultrasound of my new little nephew thats due in a month or so. Such a fatty! I've had fun shopping for him lately. Baby shopping is the best kind.
Bushwalla inspired us lately and we're back on track with yoga. I've missed it so. I've always done it here and there on my own but it's nice to be back to a routine with it. He's right...there's nothing like it and it makes you feel good inside and out and somehow changes the way you think.
Our big ass family is taking a cross country road trip in June and we're not gonna be able to go. I'm sad that we'll miss out on such a radical experience. They're going in a complete circle and covering 13 states. Would be so much fun. But we're sticking to our plans. We've trips of our own in the works that must happen this year. We've been in plan mode and now that I'm not covered in total anxiety from this past weekend I can focus on things.
We were talking this weekend about how thankful we are that our little lives are so boring. That there's no drama and stupidness that we drag around. People amaze me how they tangle themselves up in shit and just live that way. Like they don't know any other way. I've been there and done it so it's nice to have another perspective. I can see what I was missing and for that I'm very thankful. If I hadn't had that lifestyle then, I wouldn't appreciate the one I have now.
So much love!
And speaking of love....
There's mine. In all his beautifulness. Just standing around being beautiful all the time. Like he does.
