This is one of my favorite songs of all times. It's funny how songs that we cling to when times are tough or when something monumental is happening become favorites and affect us differently for the rest of our lives. Songs from when I was little still sound like songs from when I was little and just hearing them will take me to those summers when my cousin and I would sing our little hearts out.
This song has had a huge impact on my life since the very first time I heard it when Tristan was opening for Mister a few years ago. And especially the summer of 2010. Every time I hear this song I remember how I felt a year ago. I guess sometimes you don't realize how miserable you are until you aren't anymore. I am so grateful that I had just the right mixture of things to pull me out of myself. And this song was definitely in the mix.
sometimes you gotta rock the boat a little bit. better to regret the things you did than everything you didn't. now there's so much left for us to see i cant hold on to you, you cant hold on to me now i realize what it means to be set free it's the chance to breathe in every thing. finally...something good.
