I'm suddenly itching for a project. 4 full months of living in this house and I have decided that I don't necissarily need a formal dining room as I'd once thought I did. It makes me laugh, how I based my house searches on whether or not it had a dining room or not and after buying a house with a lovely formal dining room, I've changed my mind all together. Ahh fun.
So... my next project is turning the dining room into a reading room/office. I cannot wait! I searched and searched for a dining room table and didn't even come close to finding one. Now I know why! Cause I'm not meant to have a dining room! I'm meant to have a reading/writing room. YES!!! How perfect an idea!
The next step is to get an estimate of how much it'll cost to build the shelves that I want. Luckily we have an uncle who can build for us as long as we buy the materials. This is similar to what I'm going for:
Then add a comfy chair and desk. AND A LAMP! I'm real excited about the rug and the lamp. And of course....THE BOOKS!!! This will all take a while I'm sure but after Dakotas bedroom furniture next month I will work hot and heavy toward my little room :)
