Its almost Friday and it's been a good week so something happy needs to be here. What's happier than Seth Avett?
And
That smile when he says "him".

After all this time I can see everthing exactly as it was. I'll see a picture from that time and I remember exactly what was happening on that day and how it felt. That's what I remember most, of everything, was how it felt. I've long since stopped feeling sorry for myself and stopped being desperatly sad about it. Thankfully now I see it totally different. I know that it was right. It happened just as it was meant to. It was perfect and hard and terrible and bliss. I had the perfect, movie version of a first true love. Who can ask for more than that? It changed everything about me even tho I didn't know it at the time. It was real, and something I'll always have, and for that I'm very, very thankful.
And now, I couldn't be more loved than I am. I'm taken care of and never have to wonder where things stand. I've a happy, stable, wonderful life and I'm also very thankful for that. I don't know how I got so lucky in life. It seems unfair sometimes. I know I've done things in the past not to deserve love like I've always had.
All I can do is give it back with all I've got. Be the best person I can be for those who love me.
Life's so funny. The tinyest thing can rip my heart right out and yet I'm thankful for it. Crazy isn't it?
Do it
15 reasons you should be watching Peaky Blinders
My new love! This is now my second favorite show. Waiting for the good shows is slow torture. WATCH IT!!!
We binged this show in just a couple days. It's the kind that gives you a hangover and makes it impossible to watch anything else for a while cause you know it won't compare. After we pouted for a couple days, we watched Bloodline since every other human is going on and on about it. I couldn't get into it. I don't get the obsession. It's alright but shows like Peaky Blinders are on a different level. It's not really t.v. It's a movie every episode. The acting, the costumes, the writing....it's just better. And I promise I'm not just saying that because Tom Hardy is in season 2. I loved it from episode one, first two minutes. Its that kinda show. Helen McCrory is amaaaazing!! They all are!
Now I'm eternally waiting for season 3.

"I need to move around a bit. To shuffle my surroundings. To wake up in cities I don't know my way around and have conversations in languages I cannot entirely comprehend. There is always this tremendous longing in my heart to be lost, to be someplace else, to be far far away from all of this."
- Beau Taplin
Oooohhh. I feel this in my bones!

Impossible
A funny... I had a dream a couple weeks ago about Scott. Love it when those come along. Anyway, he asked me what my favorite Avett song was and I panicked and blurted out a song that is no where near my favorite. And then told him I couldn't pick a favorite. I had such anxiety in my dream that I woke up, heart pounding. We've made fun of me lots for this, because its really bothered me. So I've tried and tried since that morning to pick a favorite and it's 100% impossible. What's wrong with me? Why can't I do it??? It drives me insane! I'll settle on one and think yeah I guess if I HAD to pick one that's a good one, but then I'll hear one and for that second it sounds different than it ever has and I'll think no, THIS is it. Sigh.
So as of right now, on this day at this minute, this is my current favorite. But it's this video that makes it my favorite. This particular version of this song is what makes it my favorite. Is it my favorite of all their songs of all time? I just can't.

I almost posted Souls Like The Wheels lol
Pride!
Friday was such a shock to me. I really, still, can't believe it. What shocks me the most I think is all the support and happy wishes that I've seen from SO many people, celebrities and companies. That's what makes me teary.
This! When I saw the White House all lit up I got chills and that's when it hit me that it was really real, and what a huge day it was. Very happy for America ♥

Happy Summertime!
It's been forever since I've been here! There've been several exciting things that I have neglected to mention here, and that's what I do, sooo...
Let's see, there was Mad Max. I wish it was that exact moment again when it was just coming on. One of the best movies I've seen in theatres in a long time.
There was Panama City. That was fun! I'm not a beacher and the more times I go the more I realize that. But we had a great time. Perfect weather!
There was Biltmore for my birthday ♥ That's always the best time ever. You can't explain it to someone that's never been there, they have to experience it for themselves. It's a feeling. And that's my favorite kind of place. It was also the first time we'd been to downtown Asheville, which is an amaaazing place. We booked a food tour that was so much fun. It's a guided walking tour that goes to 7 different restaurants. They opened just for us and had these small portions of food and wine at each, so you could sample the best things on their menu. It was a little pricey but it was worth it. We loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat! I love any place in North Carolina and Asheville was just as awesome as all the other places I've fallen in love with. Can't wait to go back!
Then there was our Mothers Day gathering with wine and that's when it happened. When aunt Tammy brought out her Outlander books and dvds. I had heard of it but knew nothing at all about it. She let me borrow part one of season 1 and that was the end of me. The first 8 episodes are on those dvds so of course, the second we finished that we had to call our cable network and paid to have Starz. So then we finished the other 8 episodes. And then I started them all again. And again. And somewhere in the middle of that, I spent $70 on the books as well haha. I recommend watching the show first before starting the books. I usually don't, but in this case I do. I'm trying to talk a friend of mine into these books and she keeps saying but it's mushy lovey romance. Which I understand, thats a very fine line that can turn me off too, but this is different! It's not too mushy and there's blood and gore and terrible! All the best things!
And we've finally settled on a decision for now about babies. We've gone so back and forth and had such turmoil deciding what we really wanted. We got impatient as well, when we had to wait so many months for a good folicle and then a surgery and then waiting to heal from that and then the procedure and then waiting some more. There are a couple other things that we know would take even longer if we were to keep trying. So then we talked seriously about adoption. Looked into what all it would entail. Which is a hell of a lot. But all the while, in the back of both our minds, we're both happy with the way our life is now. Neither of us feel like we're missing something. We like our time. And we like to travel. I think you should be absolutely sure about having a child, so if the time comes that we ever are 100% sure, then we'll do it then. And then after we came to this decision, we both felt such relief. And there's our answer.
So now we're looking ahead to turning our dining room into this:
It's the same picture I've had since we moved in here. We've had a couple consultations with builders on price and how long it would take but kept stopping for money reasons or whatever but we're finally moving along with it! I really can't belive it. But it is much needed!
I've been feeling very uninspired lately. So I'm hoping this new project will help light a fire under my ass!
I am on the mend from strep throat. It's been a rough week indeed so I am happy it's Friday and happy to be feeling better!

Tomorrow is April!! Spring is finally here! I'm very excited about this. I love my fall and winter, but I love a good spring too. It's the time for new things! And I have a new freebie five!
So..
1- Ian Somerhalder
2- Jason Momoa
3- Sophia Bush
4- Benedict Cumberbatch
5- Tom Hardy
Two new additions! Sophia Bush has replaced Ellie. It's her instagram. It turns me off. She's still a lovely person but I've moved on. Sophia on the other hand has given me hearts in my eyes. What a beauty! Tom Hardy... he's super sexy to me. I think it was Lawless that did it. He is kinda perfect.
