Farewell middle school

My son was awesome in the last talent show he'll ever have at school. So proud of him for getting up in front of all those kids and doing what he does. No way in hell I could do it. My camera died not even halfway thru his song. I was pissed. And I really hate it when everyone starts trying to clap to the music when he's singing. I know they're just havin fun but it's annoying because they're never in time with the music. But it never messes him up. He sang Good People by Jack Johnson. Good lil tune. I'm surprised that after the Avett show last night he didn't change it again for a third time haha. Hard to believe Monday he will graduate from middle school. Seems like just a couple years ago he was so little still calling me mommy. I couldn't be more proud of him. Happy last day of school my little buddy!!!

happy times

Time just flies and flies. This week has been all about high school. Picking Dakota's freshmen classes and his tuition interview and auditions for Alcoa Singers (which he made it!!) I've gone to parent orientation and helped him decide what courses to register for. I just can't believe that that little baby I had is going to be in high school. Doesn't seem right at all. But what a great guy he is. I am so proud of the little person he is. When he was first born and I was just a kid myself and couldn't believe I had created a whole other human, I would imagine what he would be like when he was this age. What he would dress like and what things he would be into and I guess momma knows because he's the spitting image of those daydreams I had back then. We've definitely grown up right along side eachother and he's the love of my lifetime ♥

This is an exciting month. In one week I'll be seeing my other loves the Avetts. I can't decide what I'm more excited about...seeing them, or seeing Dakota see them. It'll be fun. If there's one thing I support and encourage it's musical experiences. YES!!!

My vacation is in 16 days. It's finally here! Very much looking forward to that.

I've just finished a great little story. Me Before You by JoJo Moyes. I heard about it from Lainey although we don't agree on it. She didn't love it like I did. And I didn't actually know it was going to be a movie until after I'd read it and the whole time I was reading I thought to myself that it would make a good lil movie. I read it in 2 days. It's one of those. I finished it at 2:45 am. So actually it's one of those.

I've just downloaded Natalie Maines new album. Love!! I've really missed her. Her voice blows my mind around.

My shows are wondy!! The Voice!!! I secretly have a crush on all 4 of those coaches. I would take all damn four of em! But specially Blake. I'm in love with him a little. Sigh... That laugh. He has THE BEST belly laugh. And GAME OF THRONES!!!! I can't believe that every single person in the world doesn't watch that show. It should be mandatory!!!

Everyone in my house is finally feeling better and things are looking UP!!
